Our Product's Appearance
Why it looks different

Why our product appearance will vary
If you're reading this you probably want the bottom line, and don't want to feel like you're studying for a Doctorate exam. When we go to medical conventions it takes 1-2 hours to fully explain this. So here's the short version:

VARIABLES IN THE DETAILS
Our products are 100% natural, which causes taste, smell, and color to vary between batches. Our goal isn't making a product that looks the same ... instead our goal is making an effective product. What makes the product effective is the correct ratios of beneficial hemp compounds. Practically speaking many of our products have at the very least 200% more types of compounds than other similar CBD products on the market. Things like rainfall, temperature, and even what times we are able to harvest can create variations in crop compounds. This affects the amount / type of plant matter we need when making our product.
We know we lose a few customers because our product varies in appearance. So why do we do it? Well, we use the product we make. We want to give ourselves the best product possible. That means prioritizing effectiveness over looks. Here’s how we could make every batch identical ... but why we don’t:
ADDITIVES
Some brands use synthetic additives to maintain consistency. We won’t. We do use natural additives like honey, apple puree and superfoods like spirulina in our gummies. However, there are still variations in each batch. This is because we use so much raw hemp extract that the extract's smell, taste, and color overpowers natural additives.
WHITE WASHING
Most manufacturers have a consistent look by doing something called "white washing." This highly processes the hemp into isolates. Isolates are tasteless and uniform in color, but this processing removes all other beneficial compounds, and often leaves chemical residuals. A majority of hemp products and probably 80% of finished products in the marijuana industry are completely "white washed."
1 VS. 9
A lot of brands that don't "white wash" have a consistent look by using simplistic extracts. They use 1 batch of oil from 1 crop. The batch is selected based only on CBD and THC ratios. Most do not pay attention to terpenes and minor cannabinoids, and we've never seen another brand take into account flavonoids, micros, or dark matter. With our 0.3% THC products, we use raw RSO-style extract from the hemp plant. There is no crop that has all the compounds we want, so we use up to 9 batches from 3 crops! This helps us balance ratios of minor cannabinoids, terpenes, flavonoids, micros, and dark matter. We've never met anyone else who does this.
CLOSING COMMENT
McDonald’s says consistency in product appearance is key to building a brand. They're not wrong. Except we're not McDonald's, and our primary goal isn't sales. Our goal is to make a healthy product that works. Instead of making the easiest profit, we've chosen to make the hardest product. Because what we want in the end is not the best profit, but instead the best product. A lot of brands make a product to hop on a trend. In contrast, we started making it in order to help our family and friends facing extreme health challenges. So for now, McDonalds will have to do what they do best ... and we'll have to stick with what we do best.
